On February 6th at approximately 1:30pm the Palm Springs Mounted Police Search and Rescue were called out for an injured hiker in the mountains above Palm Springs. Palm Springs Fire hiked in and handled patient care of a knee injury, while a member of PSMP-SAR was inserted on a hoist via CHP Helicopter H-60. After insertion the patient was hoisted and airlifted off the mountain to safety. AMR then transported the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation
