Not funny anymore
I spoke this morning with Simone about our future plans and he says to me: “Whether we get out of here or not, is now also an issue of safety!”
And I just said to myself, no, we are safe here!!
After our second shoveling session around the tend, where the walls actually are more than 3 meters high and we are struggling to clear the snow around the tend, we went into the tent.
Suddenly we heared a bang and both of us didn’t know what was going on. Simone jumped to the exit and went out, and there already came down the snow from an avalanche. I didn’t know of which dimensions it would be and I also didn’t know if I should stay in the 2meter dome (tend), or get out. Luckily it was just more dust, and all was well. I really was a little bit frightened and helpless for a moment.
And now I am also of the opinion that we should get out of here as soon as possible. Troubles is that we can only reach the safe valleys if we take the helicopter, walking down would be suicidal, because the way down into the valley to Sama is very steep.
I really wish for us now only better weather, everything else is a minor matter.
