Today at approximately 3:00 PM the Palm Springs Mounted Police Search and Rescue were called out to assist a non injured hiker that had gotten off trail and had become stuck on the side of the mountain. PSMP-SAR was able to make quick work up the trail and helped the hiker down the trail.
Some trails that aren’t as well traveled have become overgrown with vegetation after the heavy rains we received this winter and are not as easy to follow at this time.
