Update: Attempt to rescue Russian mountaineer
One of the best Russian alpinists, Alexander Gukov , has stuck at about 6200 meters on Latok I (7,145m) after the death of his climbing companion Sergey Glazunov.
The rescue team is waiting for weather improvement, they will try a long line rescue, in a very dangerous position.
Gukov and Glazunov traveled to Pakistan with the aim of completing the north ridge of Latok I, first attempted during 26 days in 1978 by the Americans.
