On November 4th at approximately 11:00 AM the Palm Springs Mounted Police Search and Rescue received a report of a hiker suffering from symptoms of dehydration on the N Lykken trail. Upon arriving on scene a PSMP-SAR member was hoisted down to the hiker by California Highway Patrol helicopter (H-60). The hiker was then airlifted to safety to waiting AMR unit and then transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
