The team summited Aconcagua on 20 January and are now back in base camp.

Ade writes: "We left camp 2 in marginal conditions due to both high winds and localised snow squalls. The localised weather was getting worse, but we were keen to get ourselves into position at Colera camp. The night of the 19 January was 'bracing' and none of us really slept. We set off in a sombre mood, but by the time the sun rose the weather had settled down. The team ploughed on and at every halt got stronger. 7 hours and 22 minutes later we had passed other teams and had the summit to ourselves for a wee while".… See More

Chogolisa (7665m) is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Karakoram. Very rarely climbed or even attempted, it has two summits connected to each other by an almost horizontal edge. The first ascent of the North-East summit (7654m) was made by a Japanese expedition in 1958. The South-West Summit (7665m) was first reached by the Austrians in 1975.
