The autumn ice & mixed season is just getting started in the Alps. Alastair McDowell and Tim Oliver were drawn to climb the relatively unknown North face of this incredibly symmetrical Swiss pyramid, and discovered almost 1000m of consistent alpine ice & neve culminating in a mixed headwall with several engaging pitches... After 11 hours on the face the sunset views from the summit were spectacular, including the Matterhorn’s North face in directly across the valley.
