Born on this day, 1970.12.13; Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, Austrian climber, who ascended Broad Peak Foresummit in 1994, Cho Oyu in 1998, Shisha Pangma Central-Peak in 2000, Makalu in 2001, Manaslu in 2002, Nanga Parbat in 2003, Annapurna I and Gasherbrum I in 2004, Shisha Pangma and Gasherbrum II in 2005, Kangchenjunga in 2006, Broad Peak in 2007, Dhaulagiri I in 2008, Lhotse in 2009, Everest in 2010 and K2 in 2011, where she finished the 14 Main-8000ers. She is the first woman who climbed them all without bottled oxygen. In addition she ascended Nuptse in 2012.
