Today a small avalanche was triggered at bottle neck of K2. A rope fixing team of 5 sherpas was swept 50 meters with the debris suffering minor injuries. All of them are safely in C4 now. There are around 120 climbers pushing for the summit.
K2. Storm scheduled for tomorrow
Seven Summit Treks report that most climbers are now in C4 K2 and are planning an assault on July 18th.
Yesterday, five Sherpas, who were hanging the ropes to the top, fell into a small avalanche that dropped them fifty meters.
Fortunately, they managed to get rid of "slight fright" and minor injuries.
After spending the night in C4, they continued to hang.
Recall that 164 permits were issued for climbing K2 this season. Now about 120 climbers expect to climb to the top
